Which of the Biotoilet models is suitable for our use?
The choice of model is affected by the use of the device. All Biotoilet models are designed for the needs of one family (approx. 5 people)
- their emptying method and interval do vary. Smaller ones are emptied more often (60 uses) than larger ones 200 to 2000 uses). Smaller
models are intended as a “second toilet” for indoor use or other small-scale use, larger models as “main toilet” for holiday homes and
detached houses for residential use. When the utilization rate is higher, the capacity can be increased with additional trolleys / containers.

Questions
How do you proceed with the planning to install an AQ Bio? Do I need an official permit? Can I install the system
myself? Can I get planning / construction help?
We offer a free remote mapping. In connection with the categorization, you will receive written information about which AQ Bio system
is suitable for your use, and if official permission is required. If you need / want to renew the property's sewage treatment, it is also

Environmental friendliness.
How environmentally friendly is AQ Bio?
AQ Bio is a very environmentally friendly toilet choice. It can handle most household wastewater load (WC 90% nitrogen, 80% phosphorus
and 60% organic material) - the rest is in washing and rinsing water ( greywater), which are purified in an NP unit and a greywater
treatment systemt equipped with precipitaion well (sedimentation well). See AQ Bio / NP cleaning efficiency.
The energy requirement is very small. Waste is recycled at the source (no need for emptying / transport infra). Long service life 50-100
years). Material recyclable. Given these, the carbon footprint is for AQ Bion very small (a fraction of the toilet system's carbon footprint).

Is it hard? What needs to be done?
Measures related to normal use, ie adding compost litter and leveling compost about once a week, are not time consuming or laborious.
Emptying, changing of trolley / container (2 - 12 month interval) has been done easily on our models. It usually takes 15 min to 30 min
time. The equipment is simple in technology and does not require regular service. We help to technically plan easy care and

Acquisition and operating costs.
What does the purchase cost - what does the use cost?
Getting a AQBio is more economic than getting a wc / closed tank / sewageconnection. Operating costs (RAKE chemical and compost
litter) are also low because waste can be easily composted and recycled on site.

Winter use - measures for the cold season.
Thermal insulation, heating? Measures after the summer season (summer cottage)?
If the property is used in winter, it must be taken into account during installation by isolating the system and / or equipping it with
a heating element. If used only in the summer, AQ Bio can be uninsulated . NP unit, toilet seat and piping must be protected from
freezing (or emptied for the winter).

Smell.

Hygiene.
Are AQ Bio hygienic in use and when emptying?
When used, AQ Bio corresponds to WC - hygiene level. Use safety equipment when emptying - e.g. gloves. A well-finished compost
does not contain harmful bacteria or viruses and its handling is not dangerous when
using safety equipment.

Placement of seats / other technology. Max number of seats. Does the toilet seat have to be directly above the
compost bin? How many toilet seats can be connected to Aq Bio?
No, the toilet seat or several seats can be placed freely. Up to 3 seats can be in the system, Maximum distance from the
separator unit is 20 m.

The wash and rinse water drain is higher than the Aq Bio system. What can be
done? Where can the NP unit be placed?
After the separator unit, the water can be pumped higher to the drain. The NP unit can be placed indoors or outdoors.
